This feather headdress is made entirely of black feathers that have a really lovely green and purple iridescence in bright sunlight. The headdress is approx 18 inches tall and is very light weighing in at 14 ounces!! They don’t put any weight on your neck and it is easy to forget you are even wearing it. Watch out for low door frames and ceiling fans.
The feather headdress can be worn with either elastic straps or a leather harness (choose your preference in check out). Both are adjustable to size. Many people find the elastic straps more comfortable for long wear but for extreme conditions like high winds or aerial performance the leather harness allows for a tighter fit. The bottom of the headdress is padded with grippy foam for added security and comfort.
Store your headdress with moth balls or cedar. Moths love to eat feathers! You can either get a styrofoam head to store your headdress on or hang it upside down by the straps. Make sure the feathers aren't being crushed while it is stored. Keep out of high heat and damp conditions.
