This piece was a very long time in the making. Originally conceived as an art gallery submission, I didn't have time to make it for the gallery but the idea just wouldn't go away.
The statues are famous works from classical sculptures of the greek gods and figures from mythology. They array around the large wings that form the stand that hold a Sevine flogger with gold leaf inside the clear handle.
The tails are gold and cream leather with leather feathers riveted into the tails. The very tips of the tails have double-sided thorns on the ends. The cat o nine is not for the faint of heart and is best for experienced players.
The stand has built in lights that use a standard US outlet plug. The stand is 3d printed with a weighted bottom and padded underside. The entire stand is roughly 19 inches tall and 12 inches wide. I don't know if I will make another one of these.
This one was definitely mostly a labor of love and more time went into it than is reflected in the price.
