A lot of peeps don't know that real suede is a type of leather. It is often confused due to fabrics that call themselves suede but technically are not.
Suede is a split from the flesh side of a hide which is why it is "fuzzy" on both sides.
We use a thick chap cowhide suede for our pieces. It's a soft leather with good body and a touch of sting. It's my goldilocks flogger because it's not too heavy, not too light. Very middle of the road.
